Vitamin Angels is hosting its annual Celebration of Angels gala this year on October 15 at the Harvard Club of Boston in celebration of reaching 20 million children in 2010 with the essential nutrients necessary for good health. Lack of essential nutrients is responsible for one-third of all maternal and child deaths worldwide. Vitamin Angels partners with companies large and small to obtain the vitamins and funding to reach children and pregnant or lactating mothers in 40 countries worldwide, including domestically. This year also marks the fifth anniversary of the Celebration of Angels event, held in honor of Vitamin Angels’ supporters in the dietary supplement and natural products industries.
